The trek takes you through the lush, terraced farmlands of the Marshyangdi Valley and into the semi-arid region of Lower Mustang, each with its unique charm. The route includes the challenging crossing of the Thorong La Pass (5,416m), which marks the transition between these two areas, and leads to Muktinath, a sacred temple complex revered by both Hindus and Buddhists. This 17-day adventure follows the traditional Annapurna Circuit trail until reaching Jomsom, where the trek ends with a scenic flight back to Pokhara. Itinerary

  • Day 1
    Arrival in Kathmandu: Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel. Rest and prepare for the trek.
  • Day 2
    Sightseeing / Cultural Day in Kathmandu Valley: A half-day sightseeing tour of Bhaktapur and Kathmandu Valley, visiting UNESCO-listed temples and shrines. Enjoy a traditional Nepali dinner in the evening.
  • Day 3
    Kathmandu to Besi Shahar (830m): Drive to Besi Shahar (185 km, 6 hours) with scenic views of mountains, rivers, and villages. Overnight in a guesthouse.
  • Day 4
    Besi Shahar to Bahundanda (1430m): Trek through local villages and subtropical forests, passing waterfalls and enjoying mountain views. Overnight in Bahundanda.
  • Day 5
    Bahundanda to Chamje (1410m): Descend on a steep trail past rice terraces and visit hot springs. Continue to Chamje. Overnight in Chamje.
  • Day 6
    Chamje to Bagarchhap (2160m): Climb through forests of bamboo and rhododendron, passing the village of Tal and crossing a suspension bridge. Overnight in Bagarchhap.
  • Day 7
    Bagarchhap to Chame (2170m): Trek through walnut tree forests and apple orchards, passing waterfalls and crossing landslides. Overnight in Chame.
  • Day 8
    Chame to Pisang (3190m): Pass through forests and cross a suspension bridge to reach Pisang, with views of Paungda Danda rock face. Overnight in Pisang.
  • Day 9
    Pisang to Manang (3540m): Trek through the Tibetan-style village of Bryaga and reach Manang, with stunning views of eroded cliffs and yellow rock formations. Overnight in Manang.
  • Day 10
    Manang: Rest day in Manang for acclimatization. Optional short hike to Khangsar for better altitude adjustment.
  • Day 11
    Manang to Letdar (4250m): Trek through scrub juniper and alpine grass to reach Letdar, passing herds of blue sheep and yak. Overnight in Letdar.
  • Day 12
    Letdar to Thorang Phedi or Thorang High Camp: Acclimatization trek to Thorang Phedi, a rock-strewn meadow surrounded by cliffs, for altitude adjustment. Overnight in Thorang Phedi or High Camp.
  • Day 13
    Thorang to Muktinath (3800m) via Thorang La Pass (5416m): Early morning trek to the summit of Thorong La Pass, then descend to Muktinath, a sacred site with views of Dhaulagiri and the Muktinath Temple. Overnight in Muktinath.
  • Day 14
    Muktinath to Marpha via Jomsom (2665m): Descend through meadows and fruit orchards, passing Kagbeni and Jomsom before reaching Marpha. Overnight in Marpha.
  • Day 15
    Jomsom to Pokhara: Fly to Pokhara and spend the day relaxing or sightseeing around the Pokhara Valley. Overnight in Pokhara.
  • Day 16
    Fly or Drive back to Kathmandu: Fly or drive back to Kathmandu from Pokhara. Overnight in Kathmandu.
  • Day 17
    Kathmandu: Depart from Kathmandu, marking the end of your trek.
