Trip Overview

The Annapurna Circuit is renowned as one of the finest trekking routes in the world, offering a diverse and scenic journey through the Annapurna region of Nepal. The trek is a stunning contrast between lush, terraced farmland in the Marshyangdi Valley and the rugged, semi-arid landscapes of Lower Mustang. The highlight of the trek is crossing the challenging Thorong La Pass (5416m), leading to the sacred Muktinath temple, a significant pilgrimage site for Hindus and Buddhists alike.

The adventure also includes a descent into the Kali Gandaki Gorge, the deepest river gorge on Earth, carved by the powerful Kali Gandaki River between the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. From here, trekkers will visit the serene hot springs of Tatopani before ascending to Poon Hill for a breathtaking sunrise over the Annapurna peaks. Although roads now exist along parts of the circuit, trekkers can still opt for less-traveled trails, ensuring a peaceful and crowd-free experience. For those with limited time, jeeps provide a faster way to complete sections of the trek.
